These Terms of Service govern your use of AXIS. By signing up and using AXIS, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they're written to be clear, not to hide anything.
AXIS is an AI-powered accountability and life journaling service that communicates with you via SMS. AXIS sends you daily check-in messages, processes your replies, and generates journal entries and behavioral insights from your responses. The service requires a paid subscription after your free trial period.

AXIS offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. After your trial ends, continued use of AXIS requires a paid subscription at the rate displayed at the time of signup. Early access users lock in their rate permanently — your price will never increase as long as your subscription remains active.
Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged for the following month.
We do not offer refunds for partial months of service.
By signing up for AXIS, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from AXIS at the phone number you provide. Message frequency is based on your chosen check-in schedule. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
To opt out of SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any AXIS message. To opt back in, reply START. For help, reply HELP or email hello@joinaxis.app.
Your journal entries, SMS replies, and behavioral data belong to you. AXIS does not claim ownership over any content you provide. You grant AXIS a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

AXIS is a personal productivity and journaling tool. It is not a medical device, mental health service, or professional counseling service. The insights and patterns AXIS surfaces are based on the data you provide and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or other licensed advice.
AXIS is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of AI-generated content, or specific outcomes from using the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AXIS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.
You may cancel your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, during which time you may request an export.
We may update these terms as AXIS evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or SMS at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of AXIS after that date constitutes acceptance.
